Why we decided to create EnvoAlarm?
March 2011 is one of the months we will never forget. As we watched the TV about the recent earthquake in Japan with tears in our eyes; we all prayed for the heroes and families. Right after the disaster, Envo has gathered engineers’ talents and decided to develop an earthquake alarm system.
This earthquake occurred in Japan on March 11, 2011, brought out a serious issue of the world energy consumption and environment protection which the world should think over – As a global company, what can we do to make the world better one household at a time?
Based on EnvoNet and Envo Green Smart Control Solution, we created EnvoAlarm for Apple iOS and Google Android platform.
EnvoAlarm is a free app which provides users earthquake real-time information with push notification when major earthquake occurs. Source of the information is from well-known national Geological Research Organizations – US Geological Survey, Japan Meteorological Agency and Taiwan Central Weather Bureau. With EnvoAlarm, users can inquire earthquake historical records; map out the location, scale and depth. The app is just a beginning to show that we care. Envo hopes that together, we make a better future.
