Envo announced iPad home control

June 9, 2010

Remember the future home we imaged when we were young? Just say the voice command and turns on the light, TV, A/C and stereos. Now, the dream is delivered, with Envo’s new technology.

iPhone and iPad have taken its dominance place in revolutionize user interface. Within only two months since Apple announced iPad, Envo developed and show everyone at Computex Taipei 2010 the integration of iPad and the Envo system. Now users can monitor and control the environment with iPhone or iPad everywhere in the house. Of course, that is if users prefer to touch instead of saying the command.

Making all the technologies work together to make this happen is not easy – The state of art voice collection array, command extraction, power line communication, wireless communication switches. Although this sounds very technical and complex, you don’t need to be a tech-savvy person to use it. Envo requires no computer to setup or use the system. Make a trip into an Envo enabled model home, you will experience the “star-trek” like bridge computer – that actually listens to you, everywhere in the house.

“EnvoNet® integration with iPad and iPhone is the most critical piece in our strategic planning. User likes to quickly check the status of the house, knowing what’s going on and able to control it. EnvoNet® fills this missing piece.” Says Envo CEO Kevin Tseng.
